Vote For Your Favorite Trek Series

Which Trek series is your favorite?

Want to make a donation to GalaxyFleetCommand and have a little fun in the process? You may have noticed a new board in the sandbox where you can vote for your favorite Star Trek series. The cost to cast a vote is a mere 10 Lindens and the contest ends on March 10th. Your donation helps the sim owner pay for the wonderful sims we all enjoy. You have a week and a bit to get your votes in!

Just click on the board, select to pay 10 Lindens and choose your favorite series from the menu. The board will only accept donations of 10 Lindens, however, you can vote as many times as you like and push your favorite series to the top of the list.

To help you decide, here are a few whimsical reminders which have warped onto our television screens over the last 40+ years.

If you’re a fan of the original series (TOS), then maybe you had a liking for wobbly sets and flashing lights for anything resembling a computer. Or perhaps you loved the banter between Kirk, Spock and Bones.

Old style not your style? Try The Next Generation (TNG). Perhaps bald Captains, and tight uniforms are your thing, or Worf attacking anything that moves or proves to be a minimal threat, “Captain, I saw it twitch should I kill it?” Or maybe you liked watching Deanna Troi and Will Riker dating anything with a pulse! Remember Data questioning every tiny human trait right down to why the need for constant visits to the bathroom?

Of course you may just prefer your Star Trek on a space station parked at the end of a wormhole like DS9. Yeah, you got that right, a wormhole service station. From a Captain who can’t decide about the hair on his face or head to a Trill with a symbiont that was supposed to be as old as dust. And who can forget Quark’s Bar and the ever-so-quiet Morn?

As if staying it one place wasn’t exciting enough then your preference might have been Lost in Space…oh wait…different show, er.., I meant Voyager. Yeah, that’s it!  You remember, it’s where they had to make that one decision, to either save a bunch of people or be lost so far from home a Sat Nav couldn’t help you …”sorry, Google hasn’t mapped your region yet, please come back in 75 years”. Still, it did have some great story lines.

And lastly… and the least dear to this writer, we have Enterprise, or Back to the Future, as some may call it. Supposedly in the past, before the days of Captain Kirk, the ship looked much too modern. We’ll just glare over that like it never happened.

But don’t let me prejudice your decision, for we know everyone has a favorite series. Make a trip to the Aeon sandbox and vote for your top Trek show. Vote repeatedly if you like! Thank you for your support!
