DS19 – New Ideas Create New RP’s
One of the main reasons for RPing in an area like Deep Space 19 Prosperous Station is to create a more immersive environment where different types of RPing can succeed.
Earlier this week such an RP was put into action. First you take a group who comes to the station interested in RPing here, a few discussions about storylines, an away mission here and there, before you know it a whole new story arc is created. This friday we saw the culmination of that story arc and one of the blueprints which shows how RP can actually be done here and work.
Deep Space 19 Station Log: Edward Auxifur & Sophie Jonhnson
The team, consisting of both Commanders of DS19: Commander Phantom and Commodore Desade, along with Senior Science Officer Auxifur and other members of DS19, constantly searched the lands, eventually coming across a winged beast, thought to be the legendary Pegasus.
After meeting a number of others, and gradually learning of the worlds background, the virus was created on Vulcan by a team of Suraeens and that a particular disease had plagued the land: Deeja Duru (Vulcan for Healing Trance).
The disease was not fully understood, however it was discovered that it only effected Vulcans, and resulted in a change in the DNA structure. The team returned to DS19, studying and analyzing a sample of DNA taken from a Vulcan resident.
A few days passed, and it was beginning to make sense that the disease was more serious than was originally thought. Doctor Scorpio – a Vulcan Doctor holding secrets to the disease from the land of Tow-Kath had also been put into a state of coma, and had gone missing over the past few days.
It was decided that a team had to be assembled to focus purely on the Deeja Duru virus. Lead by Commander Edward Auxifur, the team was given a science vessel (USS Gamese) to constantly monitor the planet while in orbit.
More days passed, and the members of DS19 faced immediate shock as Doctor Scorpio appeared in DS19 along with another federation team who had retrieved her.
While away on Tow-Kath, Captain Auxifur was informed by a dragon-like being that the ‘Golden Waters’ were the cure for the Deeja Duru virus. He had already retrieved a sample, and after a while of panic and intensity, gave the Waters to the unconscious Dr. Scorpio, thus awakening her from her coma state.
Dr.Scorpio informed Auxifur that the Golden Waters were not the complete cure, and another type of Water, the ‘Azure Waters’ back on Tow-Kath only completed the cure for Vulcans.
It was then found that the disease had unknowingly spread across various quadrants, effecting thousands, even millions who have no idea that they have the disease.
The cure is still unknown – and both DS19 and the world of Tow-Kath must find it, and save millions.

New Xenology Subdivision Insignia
Dear Members of GFC and guests.
This is Farodin Rhiadra blogging and having the honor to present you the official GFC Xenology Insignia:
GFC Xenology Insignia
Just to give you some Idea on how we formed the looks of the Insignia:
The Insignia is created in line with most of the other GFC designs by general style: golden laurel wreath, circumferencing an outer golden ring, and another, inner ring in division color (Science Division = blue).
In the background one can see the Starfleet Communicator Badge with the excerpt from the UFP-Flag: the Federation Stars.
The lettering is in normal caps, as Xenology is a SubDivision, whereas Divisions would be in All Caps.
Talking on the SubDivisions Insignia:
The (Sub) Divisional Insignia is formed by a ring in the center of the general design. Blueish in looks to keep up with Science Division colors, symbolizing a magnifying lens. So showing that Xenology is looking – though researching – on something.
Through that magnifying lens you will spot a DNA-Strand that is all covered by something looking as like a scanner beam.
This shall emblematize the scientific method, we are going to use on what we focus on: life – in all its shades and colors.
As one already would have guesses, the DNA-Strand is the main building block of life of many known species – yet the universe has many more, as we all know. Yet this is the most remarkable and versatile though.
Hoping that you all may like the new Insignia.

GFC XL Lead.
